Special Keepsake Boxes for seriously ill
children. Our Chapter members paint lovely Keepsake
Boxes that are then delivered to
several local hospitals as well as the local Ronald McDonald House. These special boxes are distributed to children who
have
to spend a very long time in the hospital while being treated. The boxes are
used
to store those special items that help the children feel less lonely during
their long
stay in the a hospital bed.
Many times our Keepsake Boxes go to Mothers who have
lost a child in miscarriage or shortly after birth.
We also provide
items for the local Ronald McDonald House to help to make the families of
seriously ill children, more comfortable during their stay. Including
hand made hats for cancer victims; books and activity items for the siblings
and many comfort type of items.
We also collect pop
top tabs that are used to help defray the cost of utilities in the Ronald
McDonald House.
